Requirements for the applicant and regulations for the appointment of agents of “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
1. In accordance with the "Regulations on the procedure for appointing an agents for the sale of passenger transportation" for considering the issue of concluding an agency agreement for the sale of air transportation within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a legal entity that owns an official license for the specified type of activity, in accordance with the requirements of the Republic of Uzbekistan, or has been duly registered in established order and whose statutory documents provide for the activities in the field of tourism and/or sale of air transportation may become the sales agent.
2. The applicant must have all the licenses and other documents provided for by the rules of the Republic of Uzbekistan, allowing it to carry out activities for the sale of passenger air transportation.
3. For conclusion of the agency agreement an applicant must provide evidence that its financial activities are carried out in accordance with established state rules and are stable. In order to obtain appropriate guarantees the Airline may require a report on financial results (income, expenses, profit for the previous period), drawn up in accordance with the requirements of the country in which the Agent operates, a cash flow statement and balance sheet from the Applicant for consideration. Based on the organization particulars of the Agent's activities, the Airline may also additionally request an audit report of the Agent's activities for the period immediately preceding the submission of request for an agency agreement. If necessary, in order to assess possible risks associated with business reputation and image, the Airline has the right to request additional data within the framework of the current legislation.
4. The applicant must have its own or rented office with a total area at least 12 square meters, where:
- there are conditions for organizing the sale of air transportation;
- the relevant sanitary and hygienic and safety requirements for public and commercial premises intended for individual customer service are met;
- it is possible to place informational and promotional materials of the airline;
- there are securely locked entrances and exits, reinforced and protected window frames, means for secure storage of documents and cash proceeds;
- it is possible to place workplaces for personnel, equipped with all necessary terminal and technological equipment;
- there is an entrance area, marked with a signboard with the agent's own name, information about the office hours and the name of the airline(s) on behalf of which the sale of transportation is carried out, indicating the working hours and contact numbers, but such offices should not be designated as the offices of the airline or the branch of "Uzbekistan airways sales".
5. The applicant must not have use the name similar to “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC, other airlines and/or official international or state air transport organizations and departments, and must not use the Carrier's logo as its own when designating its sales offices, letterheads, advertising materials and own website or mobile application.
The name(s) under which the applicant will operate, or under which any of its offices will operate, must be the name(s) that will appear on the agency agreement signed.
6. The location of the applicant's office, declared as the place of performance of functions for the sale of transportation, must be the actual place of its permanent location (legal address) and should not be designated as the office of “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC.
7. For the conclusion of an agency agreement an applicant must provide copies of the following documents to “Uzbekistan Airways Sales”:
- the charter of the enterprise and a copy of the passport of the head of the enterprise;
- memorandum of association and a copy of the passport of the founder/founders;
- certificate of state registration;
- a license for the right to engage in tourism activities (for travel agencies), if the presence of such license is provided for by the legislation of the country in which the agent operates;
- statement of financial performance, balance sheet and cash flow statement based on the results of operations for the previous year, if the Applicant's organization has been operating for more than a 1 year;
- documents confirming the qualifications of personnel in the field of organizing the sale of air transportation;
- sample of letterhead with imprints of all available seals (if any).
- photographs of the office (facade, signboard and interior of the premises intended for customer service).
The original letter on the current status of the bank account on the letterhead of the bank, indicating current accounts and MFIs shall be also provided.
8. The applicant shall submit a completed application in established form signed by the applicant’s head and a complete set of scanned documents in PDF format (in one file) to the e-mail address corp.sales@uzairways.com indicated on the JSC website.
9. After receipt of the application and the set of documents required, if the package of documents provided is found to be incomplete, the Applicant is informed abount necessity to complete the package, as the absence of the documents required may be the basis for refusing the application consideration. After receiving and checking the package of documents, a message about acceptance of the application and the documents attached to it for consideration will be sent to the Applicant.
Before conclusion of an agency agreement with the applicant operating within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the airline may organize a check on compliance of the applicant’s office premises with the requirements for office premises in which the airline's transportation is sold, may inspect the premises with a visit to the location of applicant’s office and issue a standard inspection checklist.
10. In case of a positive decision regarding signing the agency agreement, the authorized persons of the JSC will sign the relevant Agency agreement on the sale of passenger transportation of the JSC on a probationary period, lasting at least six months.
If, under the results of the probationary period of the agency agreement, “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC hasn’t decided to continue cooperation with the agent, then this agreement will be unilaterally terminated by “Uzbekistan Airways” JSC with the fulfillment of all the conditions of mutual settlements provided for by the agency agreement. The applicant will be informed about the refusal of further cooperate as an agent with an explanation of the reason for the early termination of the agency agreement.
When a positive decision is made regarding continueing the cooperation, an agency agreement will be signed with the agent with a standard validity period.
