Requirements for freight forwarders

Various national economic goods, equipment and personal property of citizens can be accepted for air shipping, packaging and character properties of which allow their safe transportation.

The acceptance of the usual cargo weighing up to 150 kg is carried out on general basis. A piece of cargo, the mass of which exceeds the established weight limit, and the dimensions exceed the overall dimensions of the loading hatches and cargo compartments of passenger aircraft, is considered heavy and oversized and is accepted for transportation in accordance with the rules for the transportation of heavy and oversized cargo..

Certain types of goods (perishable, dangerous, radioactive, animal and other) that require special transportation conditions are also accepted for transportation by air.

The cargo must be packed taking into account the specific properties of this cargo in such a way that, with the usual methods of processing, its safety during air transportation is ensured, and the possibility of harm to third parties, damage to other cargo or property of the Airline is excluded.

The Airline has a right to examine the packaging and contents of any cargo piece and to verify the correctness and sufficiency of the information or documents provided in reference to any cargo.

Some countries have restrictions on the import of certain types of cargo. Goods, the import of which is prohibited by most countries, are:

• inappropriate, contradicting to the principles of social system of the state literature and objects;
• items packed in plant materials (hay, straw, grass);
• counterfeit money, security papers, stamps and equipment for their production;
• drugs and psychotropic substances.

The shipper is responsible for execution of the state export, import and transit formalities, registration required export licenses, permits, certificates and other documents requested by the national legislation of the country of origin, transfer and destination.
