"Uzbekistan Airways Technics” is an airline company with a centuries-old history

“Uzbekistan Airways Technics” celebrates its 95th  anniversary on November 12.  Today, the aviation company, which has almost a century of history, is one of the world leaders in the field of aircraft maintenance. The history of the “Uzbekistan Airways Technics” (UAT) airline company dates back to November 12, 1924, when the first aircraft repair shops were opened under the Dobrolet company. The labor biography of the airline company was continued by the aircraft repair plant No.243 of the Civil Aviation established on the basis of this company in 1937. In 2002 the plant was transformed into the aircraft repair enterprise "Uzbekistan Airways Technics".

With the beginning of operation by the national air carrier of Uzbekistan of the modern equipment of the western manufacture in 1997 on the basis of factory the Center on maintenance service of the western technics has been created for their maintenance service. In 1998, the specialists of the center made the first in Central Asia C-Check on the aircraft Airbus 310. On January 28, 2016, a shop for repairing composite components of the latest generation aircraft, including the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, was put into operation at UAT.

At present, the airline, which has international certificates and 95 years of experience in the field of maintenance and repair of aircraft, engines and components, renders maintenance and repair services for Boeing 757, Boeing 767 Airbus A320, Boeing 787 Dreamliner, IL-76TD, AI-25 engines, and auxiliary power units TA-6, TA-6A, TA-8 in the scope of C-check, A-check, D-check aircraft. High qualification of UAT's aircraft maintenance personnel meets the high requirements of ICAO, EASA, IOSA/IATA, BDSA, AR IAC and is confirmed by certificates.

UAT's production facilities include an aircraft repair complex, an aircraft painting hangar, a workshop for maintenance and repair of Western-made components, a basic metrology service and a chemical-analytical laboratory, and a workshop for the manufacture of soft equipment. Today the technical base and qualified personnel of "Uzbekistan Airways Technics" allow to render all kinds of linear and basic maintenance service and repair not only of the national air carrier's aircrafts, but also of foreign airlines.  Among the long-term partners are SCAT (Kazakhstan) and Tajik Air (Tajikistan). Aircraft of Russian airlines Ural Airlines, Russia, WIM-AVIA, Tatarstan, Yakutia, and Siberia (S7), as well as air carriers AirAstana (Kazakhstan), AirItaly (Italy), AEROSVIT (Ukraine), IcelandAir (Iceland), and Turkmenhovayollary (Turkmenistan) were also held here.

The airline's partners in providing technical support for Western-made aircraft maintenance are such world-renowned companies as Airbus Industrie, Boeing Company, Lufthansa Technik, British Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Safran Landing System, UTC Aerospace, CFM, AJW, Honeywell and others. The company also cooperates with design bureaus and manufacturers of Eastern aircraft to provide technical support for the repair of Eastern-built aircraft. The company continues to build up its technical capabilities. In September 2019, the company's specialists made the first C-check on the wide-body Boeing-787 Dreamliner of the national air carrier of Uzbekistan, and a month earlier Airbus A320 aircraft received a new type of maintenance service to replace the aircraft's landing gear. Today, the specialists are completing a complex type of maintenance and repair work on Boeing 737-300/400/500/600/700/800/900 aircraft.

Ahead of the large-scale project is the construction of a new hangar for the maintenance of Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft, which will allow the company to efficiently perform work with the maximum level of comfort, regardless of the prevailing seasonal conditions. According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On measures to radically improve the civil aviation of the Republic of Uzbekistan" dated November 27, 2018, the “Uzbekistan Airways Technics” airline was transformed into a limited liability company (LLC) and today continues its activities under the foundation of Uzbekistan Airways JSC. The staff of “Uzbekistan Airways Technics” is aimed at ensuring high quality of work and flight safety on the aircraft under maintenance, reducing the downtime of aircraft maintenance and repair, step-by-step updating and modernization of production facilities in accordance with international requirements and following its main criterion - "Our work on the ground is your confidence in the sky".
