Uzbekistan Airways and Lufthansa Technik AG celebrate 30 years of cooperation

Today, September 13, marks the 30th anniversary of fruitful cooperation between Uzbekistan Airways and Lufthansa Technik AG, one of the world leaders in the field of aircraft repair and maintenance. A large-scale event with the participation of representatives of both companies was organized on the territory of Uzbekistan Airways Technics as part of the celebration of the remarkable date,

Thirty years ago, specialists of Uzbekistan Airways Technics aircraft repair facility received training at Lufthansa Technik AG. A complete re-equipment of the repair division was started in order to master new equipment and obtain international certification. Mutually beneficial cooperation with the German company demonstrates excellent results today: UAT provides aircraft repair and maintenance services at the level of world standards. It is worth noting that Uzbekistan Airways Technics is one of the largest specialized enterprises in the CIS countries.

Cooperation with the German company consisted not only in training specialists and repairing spare parts, but also in studying the market of aircraft repair services and creating a client base for Uzbekistan Airways Technics. Since 1997, UAT’s engineering staff has been independently providing maintenance services for each new aircraft added to the airline’s fleet.
