On June 13, Tashkent hosted an international conference titled Asia Connect: Aviation Strategy, in which the current situation and prospects for the development of the aviation industry were discussed. Participants also shared their experience in conducting business in the aviation sector in Central Asia and neighboring countries.
During the event, Airbus congratulated Uzbekistan Airways on 30 years of successful cooperation and presented commemorative gifts.
It is worth noting that currently all narrow-body aircraft in the fleet of Uzbekistan Airways are unified under the Airbus A320/A321 type. Today, the airline operates 17 Airbus aircraft on short and medium-haul destinations of the route network
Uzbekistan Airways is confident in further fruitful cooperation with Airbus, which is confirmed by the airline's plans to jointly improve and expand its fleet of narrow-body aircraft.
The speech of the delegation of Uzbekistan Airways, headed by the First Deputy Chairman of the airline's Board, Umid Husanov, is also noted as part of a discussion on the development of the aviation industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The topic of planning was revealed, as well as positive drivers of the development of the aviation market of the country as a whole were noted. During the answers to the questions, Umid Abrarovich also revealed the topic of the potential of creating a Central Asian hub on the basis of Tashkent International Airport and the necessary strategic measures contributing to the achievement of the goal by Uzbekistan Airways.
