Information regarding the period of the 2018 FIFA World Cup


Information concerning the entry  into the Russian Federation and the procedure for stay and registration at the place of stay for the foreign citizens during the FIFA World Cup 2018

In connection with the signing of the Memorandum of understanding between the Russian Federation and the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), from June 14 to July 15, 2018 in the participating cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod, Rostov-on-don, Samara, Saransk, Volgograd are held the football matches of the FIFA World Cup 2018 (hereinafter- World Cup 2018).

In the period beginning ten days before the date of the first match of the World Cup 2018 (from 04 June to 15 July 2018), foreign citizens and stateless persons arriving to the Russian Federation as spectators for the World Cup 2018, can enter the Russian Federation, and in the period beginning ten days after the date of the last match of the 2018 World Cup – can exit the Russian Federation without issuing a visa with the valid documents proving their identity and recognized by the Russian Federation in this quality, and with the FAN ID.

Fan ID confirms the right of a foreign spectator to enter, stay in and leave the Russian Federation within the specified period.

Fan ID is a personalized spectator's card, which is a part of the football fans' identification system and is issued for the comfortable and safe stay of the spectators of the World Cup 2018. Such a card should be obtained by every spectator who buys a ticket (tickets) for the football matches of the World Cup 2018.

The fan's ID is nominal, it is issued free of charge, once per each viewer and is a laminated form.

The validity period of the passport of a foreign citizen must not be less than the validity period of the fan ID (until July 25, 2018), in this case, a new passport is not issued.
